2015 have been a crazy year for me. Last few months were full of travel and personal commitments. If you follow me in Instagram (arpita_blog), you must be knowing I was in India for the last 3months.While in India, I shopped a lot from Lakme, Makeup Revolution and many more. This post is about a brand which is probably the first brand I used years ago....
Its the LAKME ENRICH SATIN LIPSTICK in SHADE P168

PACKAGING, AVAILABILITY and PRICE

• This comes in a sleek transparent packaging which is kind of pretty and classy unlike the earlier bulky burgundy packaging.
• The Lakme Enrich Satin range of lipsticks retails for Rs 260
• You can buy it from all Lakme counters or from Jabong or Nykaa

SWATCH

The Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in P168 is gorgeous Purple shade with Pink undertones. Its the kind of shade that instantly brighten up your face and suits almost all skin tones.

MY VERDICT

• Firstly lets all of us THANK Lakme for changing the packaging. Totally loving the sleek sturdy packaging and the click on lid which makes the lipstick safe to travel with.
• The texture is very smooth,creamy and the lipstick glides on easily on lips
• Has a stay on power of 3-4hours, which is not that bad. After 4hours it leaves a stain though not that strongly pigmented.
• Shade does not bleed.
• Love the finish as it doesn't settle on the fine lines on my lips.
• Well Pigmented.
• Affordable
• Easily available in India

I am quite impress with this range of lipsticks and looking forward to try some more shades as I am a sucker for lipsticks.

Lakme Absolute Sun-Kissed Bronzer Review and Swatches

Summer and Bronzers go hand in hand. I have been into bronzers lately. And have been reviewing more bronzers these days.
Today its the Lakme Absolute Sun-Kissed Bronzer.

During summer, I love that sun kissed glow on my face. And this product does exactly that for me.

PACKAGING, PRICE and AVAILABILITY

• This bronzer comes in a compact case with a transparent lid. The product looks like a waffle <3 which I love for obvious reasons :)
• It retails for Rs 600 and available at almost all Lakme counters. You can buy it online from Jabong.com here

SWATCH TIME

This bronzer comes with two shades of Bronze. a GOLDEN BRONZE and a DARK BRONZE shade

You can use these two shades individually or swirl them together for a lovely GOLDEN BRONZE glow

VERDICT

• Compact packaging makes it travel friendly.
• Lovely shade for Indian skin tone. Gives a lovely glow to your skin
• Very well pigmented so try to use it light handedly else your face may look muddy
• Smooth texture and so easily blendable
• Affordable
• Easily available

Its a YES YES for me. If you are someone who love to have a nice BRONZEY sunkissed glow this summer, well then grab the Lakme Absolute Sun-Kissed Bronzer.

Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in Shade No. 356 : Review and Swatch

hey beauties... How are you all doing??? Yayyy finally I got my hands on Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in Shade No. 356, which I was hunting from quite a long time now.

Its a pretty Fuchia shade. It suits all skin tone and brighten up your look.
Its such a happy color. I get a mood lift whenever I wear it.

MY VERDICT

• This shade is a pretty Fuchia/ Reddish Pink shade. It looks lovely and suits almost all skin tone.
• The texture is very smooth,creamy and the lipstick glides on easily on lips
• Has a stay on power of 3-4hours, which is not that bad. After 4hours it leaves a stain though not that strongly pigmented.
• Shade does not bleed
• Love the finish as it doesnt settle on the fine lines on my lips.
• Well Pigmented.
• Affordable. Retails at Rs 225/-
• Easily available in India

Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in Shade 130 - Review and Swatches

hey beauties.... I am on a go to collect Lakme Enrich Satin Lipsticks. The first one I bought was Shade No.- 357. See review and swatches here. I was quite impressed by this range of lipcolors. So I decided to get another one.

• Lakme Enrich Satin lipsticks comes in a Dark Maroon Packaging. Its kind of bulky. But I really dont mind.
• Its available for Rs 225 at all Lakme Outlets.

MY VERDICT

• This shade is a pretty Dark Maroon shade. It looks lovely and suits almost all skin tone.
• The texture is very smooth,creamy and the lipstick glides on easily on lips
• Has a stay on power of 3-4hours, which is not that bad. After 4hours it leaves a stain though not that strongly pigmented.
• Shade does not bleed
• Love the finish as it doesnt settle on the fine lines on my lips.
• Well Pigmented.
• Affordable
• Easily available in India

Party Makeup: Seductive Smokey Eyes with Bold Lips

hey beauties
Today's look is a Sultry smokey eyes with Bold lips. Its apt for any night out or party/ clubbing.

So lets get started...

• Start your eye look by priming the eye lids.

•  For the eyeshadows , I used MUA Eyeshadow Palette in GLAMOUR NIGHTS PALETTE. See review and swatch here
• Take a METALLIC BLACK shade and apply it on the outer V. Now take a blending brush and blend in the METALLIC BLACK shade along the crease.
• Stay within the crease line else you will end up with Panda eyes.
• Next take a SILVER shade and apply it on the rest of the lid.
• Take a highlight shade and highlight the brow bone and inner corner of the eye.
• Take a DARK BLUE shade and apply it on the lower lash line. This gives a pop up to the entire look.
• Line the upper lash line with a BLACK liner.
• Apply coats of mascara and your eyes are done.
• For the cheeks, go for a LIGHT PINK blush.
• Flaunt your smile with a beautiful BOLD lipstick. I am wearing Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in shade 130. Review coming soon...

Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in Shade 357 - Review and Swatches

hey beauties...If you have read my previous post you must be knowing that I am in India now. As I am here I wanted to use some of Indian makeup brands. The first one that I reached for was Coloressence Cosmetics.See my review of their Lip Color here and here . See my review of their Blusher here . Today I went to the mall and grabbed a lipstick from a brand called LAKME. Its a Indian brand of makeup and skin care with a zillion of products.
I bought a lipstick from their Enrich Satin Range.

• Lakme Enrich Satin lipsticks comes in a Dark Maroon Packaging. Its kind of bulky. But I really dont mind.
• Its available for Rs 225 at all Lakme Outlets.

• Love the finish as it doesnt settle on the fine lines on my lips.
• Well Pigmented.
• Affordable
• Easily available in India
• The only con for me was mine lipstick was broken :( yes i mean not the cover but the lip color was broken from the base. I am really upset coz I love this shade a lot.
