My Take Time : Revlon Matt Lipstick in Cocoa Craving

I am always quite iffy about NUDE lipsticks. Though most of them suits me still I think most of them washes me out !!! Confused Me !!!
Recently I went to Watsons to get some facial wipes and stuffs for my India trip.While I was strolling around the makeup section, I came across the Revlon Matt Lipsticks. I have never quite swatched any of these. That day as I had some time in hand, I swatched a couple of them. I didnt quite liked the dark shades. But as soon as I swatched COCOA CRAVING I fell in love with it. Me loving a nude lipstick is next to impossible and as I like it, I bought it immediately.

SWATCH TIME

MY VERDICT

• As the name says its Matte. Sometimes when you have shimmery eyes and glowy cheeks, you don't want any gloss on your lips. And this is when you will reach out for these lipsticks.
• Not at all drying on lips. (Always moisturise your lips before putting on any lip products)
• Very very pigmented.
• No smell or taste.
• Smooth application.
• Stays on for hours. But if you drink/ eat, the pigmentation may decrease. 
• Cocoa Craving is a warm rose brown shade. A perfect neutral shade for any Indian skin tone and medium to dark skin tone. Though it may be a bit dark on lighter skin tones.
• Easily available at any drugstore.
• Retails for rm 29. But you can always find it in discounted rate.

I am liking this lipstick so far and its been my go to lipstick now. Loving the formulation, texture and ofcourse the shade.

FOTD: Its Minty

hey beauties... I went out for shopping  today and while getting ready, I wanted to wear something bright on my eyes. So I wore a Smokey Mint look. Its super easy and yet adds on some colour to your eyes.

• Prime your eyes well.
• Take a MATTE BLACK shadow on a crease brush and apply it along the crease. From outer V to inner part of the eyelid. 
• Take a clean blending brush and grab some BROWN shade and blend the MATTE BLACK,
• Apply the MATTE BLACK on the outer half of the lower lash line.
• Take a MINT/ TURQUOISE shade and apply it on the eyelid. Concentrate the color on the centre of the lid.
• Apply the MINT/ TURQUOISE on the inner half of the lower lash line.
• Highlight the browbone.
• Line the upper lash line and waterline with a black liner.
• Apply some mascara and your eyes are done.
• Rock this look with PEACH lips. I am using Revlon Lipstick in ROSEWINE.

FOTD : Champagne Eyes with Bright Lips

hey beauties...
Todays look is a nice natural champagne eye look with a bright Coral lips. So lets check it out !!!

FOR EYES

• Prime your eyes.
• Take a SHIMMERY CHAMPAGNE shade and apply it on the inner half of the lid. Drag this shade till the inner half of the lower lash line.
• Next take a BRONZE shadow and apply it on the outer V and blend it along the crease.
• Caution : There's going to be fallout. So either do your foundation after the eyes else hold a tissue below the eyes while applying eyeshadows.
• Now take a MATTE BROWN/BLACK shade and blend it with the BRONZE along the crease.
• Line the outer half of lower lash line with a BRONZE shadow / liner.
• Highlight the browbone with a MATTE highlight.
• Now line the upper lash line and water line with a BLACK liner.
• Apply coats of mascara and your eyes are done.

FOR CHEEKS

• Apply a PEACH shade. I am using theBalm blush in FRAT BOY. see review here

FOR LIPS

• Go for a classic bright ORANGE lips. I am using Revlon lipstick in KISS ME CORAL.

This is perfect for a everyday look. If you think the bright lips are too much for a Day look, replace it with a PEACH/NUDE shade.

Swatch It : Revlon Lipstick in BALI BROWN

I am totally a Lipstick person. I love to wear lipsticks both nude shades and bright bold shades. I am constantly n hunt for lipsticks.
Recently while digging through my lipstick stash, I came across my Revlon Lipstick in BALI BROWN. This was there with me from quite a long time but was neglected :( Poor thing !!!

Now that I have found it, I am using it religiously. Its CREAMY, PIGMENTED and AFFORDABLE.

Here it is !!!

This lip color will probably suit any skin tone. Do look out for it ladies.

FOTD : Festive Look 2 Bold Eyes with Nude Lips

hey beauties !!! My blog is in total festive mood like me. Yesterday I posted a Festive Look with Coppery Eyes and Bold Red lips. You can see it here 

Today's look is bold Golden eyes with Nude lips. This look can be wore for any parties and celebrations. It will go well with any color of outfit you wear !!!

FOR EYES

• Prime your eyes well.
• Take a MATTE BROWN shade and define your crease. Blend it well.
• Now take a GOLDEN shade and apply it all over the lid. Drag it to the inner half of the lower lash line.
• Take an ORANGE shade and pat it on the middle of the eye lids. This will give a nice glow to your eyes.
• Take a crease brush and grab some DARK PURPLE/BLACK (I prefer PURPLE more) and apply it on the outer V and blend it well along the crease. Blend it well to give a smokey effect.
• Now take a BURGUNDY shade and apply it on the crease just touching the brow bone.
• Blend it well.
• Highlight the brow bone.
• Line the lower lash line with a GREEN eyeshadow (you can skip this step if its too much).
• Now line the water line and upper lash line with a BLACK liner.
• Apply mascara and your FESTIVE eyes are done.

FOR CHEEKS

FOTD : Bronze Goddess. Bronze Eyes and Bright Orange Lips

Who doesnot love lovely Bright lips !!! There are days when I kind of neglect my eyes and adore my Lips. This is that kind of a makeup.
Easy Bronze eyes with Bright lips. This look can never go wrong. Be it any season, any time, any occasion, you can always rock this look....

FOR EYES

• Prime your eyes.
• Take a MATTE BROWN and deepen up the crease.
• Now take a BRONZE shade and apply it all over the lead.
• Take a crease brush and some BLACK shade. Apply it on the outer V and blend it along the crease. This will smoke out the look.
• Line your lower lash line with some BRONZE eye pencil. I am using 
• Now line the upper lash line and water line with a BLACK liner.
• Apply mascara and your eyes are done.

FOR LIPS

• Moisturise your lips.
• Apply a BRIGHT ORANGE lipstick. I am using Revlon Lipstick in KISS ME CORAL.

This is a perfect look for day as well as night out. Its fun its flirty and so colourful.

FOTD : Wearable Colourful Eyes

Hi beauties.
We all love colorful eye makeup, right? But sometimes its not practically possible to wear it in our day to day life. So I thought of making it a bit wearable, which I can wear everyday.

FOR EYES

• Prime your eyes.

• Take a YELLOW shadow and pack it on the inner half of the eye lids.

• Now take a RED shadow and apply it on the outer half of the eye lids.
• Now blend both the shades well.

• Next take a MATTE BROWN shadow on a crease brush and apply it along the crease and blend upwards.
• Highlight the browbone and inner corner and drag it to the inner corner of lower eye lid.
• Line the lower lash line with the MATTE BROWN.
• Line the upper lash line and waterline with a black liner.
• Apply mascara and your eyes are done.

FOR FACE

• Apply a base to your makeup.
• Apply foundation/tinted moisturizer.
• Conceal your flaws.

• Contour your cheeks and I am using Essence Matte Bronzer. See Review HERE

• Apply a PEACH blush. I am using DAISO blush in Orange.

FOR LIPS

• As there is so much going on in the eyes, I prefer to wear a nude lipstick.So I am using COZY TANGERINE from Maybelline.

FOTD : Soft Wearable Look

Hi guys. This look is very special for me coz I wore it on my wedding Anniversary.
Its neutral yet romantic.
Perfect for a Day out.

• Prime your eyes.
• Take a GOLDEN shade and apply it all over the lid leaving the inner one third.
• Now take a CHAMPAGNE/any HIGHLIGHT shade and apply it in the inner part of the lid.
• Drag this color till the inner of lower lash line as well.
• Now take a TAUPE/DARK BROWN shade on a blending brush and apply it in the outer V and blend it along the crease.
• Next for the lower lash line apply the same TAUPE/BROWN on the outer part.
• Now line the upper lash line and water line with a black liner.
• Apply few coats of mascara and you are done.
• Team it up with PEACHY cheeks.
• For the lips, I used Revlon Lipbutter in Lollypop
