Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipstick Review

hey beauties...Hope you all are doing well... All thanks to Nykaa.com Wet n Wild is finally here in India
As soon as I got the news, I went all gaga and ordered few stuffs from the brand. Today I will be reviewing my most favourite product from what I ordered and that is Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipstick
If you are my reader for a while, you must be aware that I am a little lipstick crazy..Give me anything opposite Lipstick and 99% time I will choose the lippie. I got myself 2shades.

 PACKAGING, PRICE and AVAILABILITY

• It comes in a sleek click lock case. The only con for the packaging is that, as seen in the pic above, the lipstick doesn't go all the way in and peeps out. If you are not careful, you may nick the lipstick when you replace the cap.
• It retails for Rs 295 and available at Nykaa.com HERE.

Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipstick in shade ROSE BUD is a wearable subtle Rosy Pink shade

Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipstick in shade SUGAR PLUM FAIRY is a beautiful bold Plum shade

MY VERDICT

• Beautiful range of shades available for all.
• Creamy texture
• Smooth application
• Gives a semi-matte finish on my lips
• Not drying. However I advise you to always wear a lip balm before applying any lip color
• Great pigmentation
• Stay on power is upto 3-4 hours which is pretty decent for the price you are paying
• Affordable
• Only down side for me is the packaging. I am surely going to nick the lipstick one day

OMG Wet n Wild Mega Last Matte Lipstick is a YES YES for me. Looking forward to get some more shades.

Nykaa So Matte ! Lipstick in TAUPE THRILL : Review and Swatches

As many of you must be aware, Nykaa.com has come up with its own lipsticks called Nykaa So Matte !. And being a Nykaa.com fan, how can I not try them ! I picked a couple of them and today I will be sharing my opinion about the shade TAUPE THRILL

PACKAGING, PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

• Nykaa So Matte ! Lipsticks comes in a beautiful matte black packaging with NYKAA printed on it which is awww classy. It shuts down with a magnetic closure. It looks quite chic and high-endy..
• These lipsticks retail for Rs 399 !! I mean how did Nykaa.com manage to make these great quality lipsticks such affordable !!!!
• Its currently available only on Nykaa.com. But trust me guys nykaa's shipping is so smooth that you can literally feel like shopping from a counter.

SWATCH

 Nykaa So Matte ! Lipstick in the shade TAUPE THRILL, is a beautiful MLBB shade. It gives a vibe of that in famous "kylie jenner lipshade" A pretty brownish taupe shade which is apt for day as well as night wear.

VERDICT

• Firstly let us all THANK Nykaa.com for such great quality product with such affordable .
• The texture is very smooth and creamy and the lipstick glides on easily on lips
• Has a stay on power of 3-4hours, which is not that bad. After 4hours it leaves a stain though not that strongly pigmented.
• Shade does not bleed.
• Love the finish as it doesn't settle on the fine lines on my lips.
• Well Pigmented.
• Affordable
• Easily available @Nykaa.com 

I am quite impress with this range of lipsticks and looking forward to try some more shades as I am a sucker for lipsticks.

Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick : Review and Swatches

hey beauties....The Lipstick addict is here !!!
But this time I am disappointed :(
Makeup Revolution is one of my favorite brands. The eyeshadows, face products are just amazing. So when I saw these lipsticks (the so called AMAZING lipsticks), I went gaga and got four of them. They were on sale at Jabong.com and I was sold. I mean lipstick from favourite brand and that too at a discounted price (Rs 180)
I ordered four.

 L to R : LADY, DAZZLE, SCANDALOUS CRIME and PASSION

PACKAGING, PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

• The packaging is OK. Its neither sturdy nor too flimsy. Its a regular black plastic bullet with the color pot at the bottom of the lid. 
• The lid dont close so well and can open up easily. So not good for travel.
• You can get at Rs 180 (Original Price Rs 450) from Jabong.com here and at RM 8 from http://www.makeuprevolution.my/ here

SWATCH

The first shade is LADY : Its a beautiful RED. Pigmentation is OK. Had to reapply several times to get that red on my pigmented lips

The next shade is DAZZLE : Its a BARBIE PINK shade. The lightest of the four. Settles in the fine lines. Most disappointing of them all

The next shade is SCANDALOUS CRIME: Its a PURPLE with heavy PINK undertones.Settles in the fine lines. Disappointing as there is no much hint of purple. Does no justice to my pigmented lips

The last shade is PASSION: Its a beautiful DARK RED. I like the shade. It covers my pigmented lips and suits my skin tone the most out of them all.

VERDICT

• Shades are darker in the packaging than in real. 
• Not so well pigmented. Mainly the lighter shades are disappointing.
• Texture is just too creamy. As if melting. I hate it. and if you stay in a place with hot and humidity, you gonna stay away from lip products which are so sticky and arghhh oily.
• NEVER keep this lipstick on hot places like in your car or under direct sunlight, cause any form of heat can just melt it off.
• Settles in fine lines
• Doesnt work well for pigmented lips
• Not so good with travel as the cap falls off easily

I am not going to repurchase any other shade from this range as its a lot more creamy for my taste :(

P.S. Though many are a fan of these lipsticks, it just didnt work for me. No hard feelings for the brand though. Because I rave about there eyeshadows and highlighters all the time. I guess the amazing lipsticks are just not for me.

Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in the shade P168 : Review & Swatch

2015 have been a crazy year for me. Last few months were full of travel and personal commitments. If you follow me in Instagram (arpita_blog), you must be knowing I was in India for the last 3months.While in India, I shopped a lot from Lakme, Makeup Revolution and many more. This post is about a brand which is probably the first brand I used years ago....
Its the LAKME ENRICH SATIN LIPSTICK in SHADE P168

PACKAGING, AVAILABILITY and PRICE

• This comes in a sleek transparent packaging which is kind of pretty and classy unlike the earlier bulky burgundy packaging.
• The Lakme Enrich Satin range of lipsticks retails for Rs 260
• You can buy it from all Lakme counters or from Jabong or Nykaa

SWATCH

The Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in P168 is gorgeous Purple shade with Pink undertones. Its the kind of shade that instantly brighten up your face and suits almost all skin tones.

MY VERDICT

• Firstly lets all of us THANK Lakme for changing the packaging. Totally loving the sleek sturdy packaging and the click on lid which makes the lipstick safe to travel with.
• The texture is very smooth,creamy and the lipstick glides on easily on lips
• Has a stay on power of 3-4hours, which is not that bad. After 4hours it leaves a stain though not that strongly pigmented.
• Shade does not bleed.
• Love the finish as it doesn't settle on the fine lines on my lips.
• Well Pigmented.
• Affordable
• Easily available in India

Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in SPECIAL MAUVE : Review and Swatch

hey beauties... Welcome aboard !!! Today I will be taking you guys into my lipstick aisle... Lets pull out a lovely fall appropriate MATTE MAUVE shade. Its Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in SPECIAL MAUVE 

PACKAGING,PRICE and AVAILABILITY

• There is nothing so special bout the packaging. Its not so sturdy.But the colored end is an add on for me cause I own a ton of lipsticks and searching for a particular shade can be more like a treasure hunt for me.
• Its not so easily available locally. I picked mine from Jabong.com
• I got it for rs 245

SWATCH TIME

The shade SPECIAL MAUVE is a beautiful DARK MAUVE shade and as its name suggests has a Matte finish. Its very pretty FALL appropriate shade and can suit Indian skintone perfectly

VERDICT

• User friendly packaging as the colored end help you see the shade.
• Smooth and creamy texture
• Very pigmented
• Not at all drying on lips. However you should always apply a lip balm underneath any lip product
• Has a beautiful Matte finish
• Has a pretty good range of shades
• Affordable
• Hard to find locally. But can be found easily online

Catrice Ultimate Color Lipstick in Pinker-Bell : Review and Swatches

Recently while strolling through the makeup ails at Guardian Malaysia, I saw these black beauties from CATRICE COSMETICS. I have never used anything from this brand and so I thought of trying on the lipsticks.
Well I picked up a lovely bright pink shade called PINKER-BELL (rhyme with TINKER BELL, my daughter's favourite)

• Catrice Ultimate Color Lipsticks comes in a black packaging with the shade name on
• It retails for RM 21.90 at all GUARDIAN MALAYSIA .

SWATCH TIME

VERDICT

• A lovely BRIGHT PINK shade that brightens up your look instantly.
• Sleek, no fuss packaging. Hence, travel friendly
• Moisturising.
• Buttery texture makes it easily applicable.
• Lasts for a good 4-5hours. When fades, leaves a nice pink tint onto the lips.
• Easily available
• Affordable

Matte lipstick always excites me. When I heard of Silkygirl's Matte lipstick range, I had to get it. Silkygirl is my most trusted brand and one of my fav too. And who want to let go of matte lipsticks !!
I picked up a few and today its all about Silkygirl Go Matte Lipcolor in EXOTIC WINE

• Silkygirl Matte lipsticks come in durable black packaging with a transparent centre.
• Its sturdy and sleek too.
• These retails for RM 21 on all silkygirl counters. *Remember stuffs from drugstores are always on sale

SWATCH TIME

Exotic Wine is lovely MATTE BERRY shade. It brightens up your complexion instantly

VERDICT

• A lovely shade that suits all skin tones perfectly.
• Matte finish
• Not at all drying
• Smooth application
• Stays on for a good 4-5hours and leaves a stain after
• Easily available
• Affordable
