Celebrity Series : Makeup Look Inspired by Bollywood Diva Kareena Kapoor

hey beauties...
I just love Kareena Kapoor. Her dance, style, makeup, acting is so perfect. She is a real diva.

I saw this pic of Kareena from the movie Heroine and totally fell in love with it !!!
Sultery smokey eyes just looks so perfect on her, and I thought to recreate the look for you lovelies.

FOR EYES

• Prime your eyes well.
• Take a BRONZE shade and apply it all over the lid and the lower lash line as well.
• Take a crease brush and grab some MATTE BROWN and apply it along the crease. Blend it well.
• Now take a DARK COPPER/ BRONZE or DARK BROWN and apply it on the outer half of the eye lid.Blend it well along the crease.
• Line the upper lash line and water line with a BLACK liner. Keep it thick.
• Now take a MATTE BLACK and apply it on the outer V and smudge it over the BLACK eyeliner applied on the upper lash line.Blend it well to give a nice smokey effect.
• Line the lower lash line and water line with a BLACK liner. Apply it close to the eye so that the BRONZE applied earlier peeks through. You can thicken the lower liner as of your requirement. I really don't like wearing it too thick.
• Apply tons of mascara and your eyes are done.

FOR CHEEKS

• Contour the cheeks. I used Essense cosmetics Matte Bronzer in Love to be Matt. See review here 
• Use a PEACH blush. I used In2It blush in Peach Pearl.  See review here 

FOR LIPS

• Team this look with a reddish PINK lipcolor. I have used Silkygirl Moisture Smooth Lipcolor in Simply Pink.

FOTD : Look Inspired by Katy Perry's Wide Awake

I am a fan of Katy Perry and always look forward to her new music video release.

I was watching the new music video from Katy Perry WIDE AWAKE.There she had two looks, One a Vampy look and the other very subtle.

I wanted to recreate the Vamp look with brown smokey eyes with bold lips.

So here it is....

HOW I DID !!!

• Prime your eyes.

For this look I used the Silkygirl Limited Edition Eyeshadow palette in DOWN TO EARTH.

• Take a shimmery BROWN shadow and apply it all over the lid.
• Now take a BRONZE shadow and apply it on the outer half of the lid and blend it well with the BROWN.
• Take a crease brush and grab some MATTE BROWN shade and apply it on the crease creating a nice gradient effect by blending.
• Now take an angled brush and apply the same MATTE BROWN on the lower lash line.
• Line the upper lash line and water line with a BLACK liner.
• Apply few coats of mascara and your eyes are done.
• For the LIPS,Katy had really dark lips.

FOTD : Bollywood/Indian Wedding/Party Look

Indian weddings are always so colorful and vibrant.The colorful elegant costumes, Beautiful decorations and lots of rituals add ons to the fun and frolic of Indian weddings.

We Indians are blessed with beautiful eyes.And love GOLDS and PINKS and lots of highlights in our makeup.Thick kohl/liner in the lower lash line with loads of mascaras.

For lips we like to go for bold lipsticks when it comes to traditional parties.

So here is my look.....

WHAT I DID :

• Filled in my eyebrows so that it look bit thick and full.
• Prime my eye lids.
• Applied a golden color eyeshadow in the inner corner of my eyes till the centre.
• Then applied a coppery eyeshadow in the center and blend it well with the gold and extend it towards the outter V.
• Then take a shimmery hot pink eyeshadow and pat it in the outter V and blend it well with the copper so that it gives a smokey effect.
• Now extend the same pink eyeshadow till above the crease and blend it inward.
• Now take a goldenish highlight or any highlight you prefer and apply it in the browbone.
• Now take a black kohl pencil and apply it in the lower lash line.Intensify the application.
• Apply eyeliner and mascara and some false lashes and your eye makeup is done.
• For lips, go for bold red lips.As red suits all traditional occasions.

On Our FIRST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY : For Him

Well friends...I am back to my blog after a long hiatus and nothing more special to start on than my first wedding anniversary.Yah...its been 1year that we are married but it seems like yesterday we tied knots :)Its still so fresh and so full with love and happiness....
I wish everyone is blessed with a husband like my darling With his love I feel strong,With his love I can face each day with courage,
With his love I am never alone,
With his love I see the beauty in life,
With his love I feel complete and whole,With his love I know there is nothing else I need in life
I love him alot and cant do anything to thank him for all the happiness he has filled in my life....Well this poem is a small token of love from a wife to her loving husband :)
