Party Makeup: Seductive Smokey Eyes with Bold Lips

Today's look is a Sultry smokey eyes with Bold lips. Its apt for any night out or party/ clubbing.

So lets get started...

• Start your eye look by priming the eye lids.

•  For the eyeshadows , I used MUA Eyeshadow Palette in GLAMOUR NIGHTS PALETTE. See review and swatch here
• Take a METALLIC BLACK shade and apply it on the outer V. Now take a blending brush and blend in the METALLIC BLACK shade along the crease.
• Stay within the crease line else you will end up with Panda eyes.
• Next take a SILVER shade and apply it on the rest of the lid.
• Take a highlight shade and highlight the brow bone and inner corner of the eye.
• Take a DARK BLUE shade and apply it on the lower lash line. This gives a pop up to the entire look.
• Line the upper lash line with a BLACK liner.
• Apply coats of mascara and your eyes are done.
• For the cheeks, go for a LIGHT PINK blush.
• Flaunt your smile with a beautiful BOLD lipstick. I am wearing Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in shade 130. Review coming soon...

Product of the Month : June - Nyx Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone

Its bye bye June time !!! Monsoon is slowly entering my home town in India. The weather is changing from Too hot to kind of Cool. I am quite liking it. Anyways before we enter the showers of July lets see what June has given me.
Yes, so the product of the Month for June goes to "NYX EYESHADOW BASE in SKIN TONE"

 Well I own this product from quite a long time now. If you are a reader of my blog, you must be aware that I do a lot of makeup looks. Apart from that I also wear eye makeup in real life. From vibrant to neutral, I love experimenting with different looks. And when you use eyeshadows, a must have for you is a good base to hold and bring out the shades. You must be thinking, if she has been using the Nyx base from quite a long time, then why all of a sudden talking about it today. Well recently I had severe hormone changes which made a lot of physical change in me, including making my eye lids super duper oily. Yes, all my life I had a combination skin but a normal eyelid, but now my eye lids are oily. I used other eye bases like Elianto eye base but my eye makeup just creased like hell. I felt as if my eyeshadows just slipped off. But one thing that saved me was NYX EYESHADOW BASE. It just adhered my eye shadows all day without a slightest creasing.

• Comes in three shades, White, Skin tone and Pearl. I own Skin Tone
• It comes in a transparent pot with a white lid.
• It can be a bit bulky but I dont mind.
• It retails at all Nyx Counters. I got mine from Sephora, Kuala Lumpur. (I miss Sephora !!) for rm 20 something

SWATCH TIME

MY VERDICT

• An awesome base for my oily eyelids.
• Holds the eyeshadow very well and stays on all day.
• No creasing, no rubbing off of the shade till you remove it.
• Texture is creamy 
• Blends easily.
• The skin tone shade evens out of eyelid.
• Makes the eyeshadow more vibrant.
• One pot lasts forever. So true to the price paid.

Its a perfect eye base for me which makes my eyeshadows pop, vibrant and last forever.

Coloressence Blush in Mauve : Review and Swatches

hey beauties....I recently did a mini haul from Jabong.com.This is my second purchase from them. See my first purchase here  This time I got just 2things. 

I actually wanted to buy Maybelline Colossal Kajal but while going through some stuffs from Coloressence, I got gravitated towards this dark plumy blush. I always wanted a Plum blush and what better to go for a affordable one. So I decided to pick Coloressence Blush in Mauve. 

PACKAGING, PRICE and AVAILABILITY

• It has a black screw cap-type packaging.
• It has got a Transparent top to see the shade, which I love.
• It retails for Rs 220/- at all coloressence counters. You can order it online too.

SWATCH TIME

It gives a nice mauvy plumy glow to my cheeks. It has a slight sheen to it. It is very pigmented, so you need to be really light handed. Its a perfect night time blush. When I look at it, it screams Monsoon Night at me.

I really love it :)

MY VERDICT

• Its a lovely bright Mauvy plumy shade with a sheen. Almost matte
• Not at all glittery.
• Very pigmented. So needs to be light handed.
• Its a perfect Monsoon/Fall/Winter Night time blush
• Has a smooth texture 
• Easy to blend
• Decent stay on power.
• Affordable and easily available.

I am so looking forward to try Amber Peach. I wanted to buy that too but It was out of stock. Hope I get that soon..
